Important Cleaning Notes -
• When using latex materials, clean your sprayer and components with
water. When using oil-based materials, use mineral spirits. DO NOT
use gasoline to clean your sprayer.
• Do not use mineral spirits on latex materials, or the mixture will turn
into a jelly-like substance which is difficult to remove.
• No matter which cleaning solution you use, make sure to dispose of
it properly when finished cleaning your sprayer.
• Thorough cleaning and lubrication of the sprayer is the most
important step you can take to ensure proper operation after storage.
Never use a garden hose near unit. Motor and ground near
sprayer must remain dry.

PRIME/SPRAY knob to SPRAY to purge material from the
hose back into the original container.
7. When cleaning solution comes from the spray gun, keep
holding the trigger and aim the spray gun into the side of the
waste container (ground gun with a metal container if
flushing with flammable solvent).
8. Trigger the gun until the fluid coming out of the gun is clear.
You may need to dispose and obtain new cleaning solution.
9. Turn the PRIME/SPRAY knob to PRIME and trigger gun to

10. Thoroughly rinse out the hopper using the appropriate

Do you have a question about the Paint Crew 770 and is the answer not in the manual?
Questions and answers
I have a 770 Paint Crew machine and it will not pressure fully to the point it will shut off. I have cleaned the inlet and outlet valves, still had same problem. I then replaced both valves, same problem still exists.
Your WAGNER Paint Crew 770 may not be building pressure to shut off due to an issue with the piston or an o-ring seal. The paint is drawn in through the inlet valve and pushed by the piston into the pressure chamber. If the piston or its seals are worn or damaged, pressure may not build properly. Additionally, if an o-ring in the system is missing or damaged, it can cause pressure loss. Inspect the piston and o-rings for wear or damage and replace them if necessary.
