Quick Set-Up The instructions below and on the next page can be used to quickly install your new ONE FOR ALL. You can use the Quick Set-Up below with the codes listed on pages 11-18. If this doesn’t work, try the Quick Search on the next page. The Quick Search can also be used even if your brand is not listed at all.
Your device is Set Up. NOTES: - Make sure your device is switched on. - Make sure you aim your ONE FOR ALL at your device during “Quick Search”. - During step 4, you may have to press these keys many times, so please be patient.
Important notes: - In order to avoid having to reprogram your ONE FOR ALL 3 after you remove the batteries, you will need to insert new batteries within 5 minutes. Also it is best that you do not use rechargeable batteries.
The Keypad Function The LED (Light Emitting Diode) flashs red to show the remote is working. MAGIC Key The MAGIC key is used to set up your ONE FOR ALL 3 and to access special functions. Power The Power key controls the same function as it did on your original remote.

The Keypad Function Number Keys The Number keys (0-9, 10, 20) provide functions just like your original remote, such as direct access programme selection. If your -/-- original remote uses one/two digit input switching (-/-- symbol), this function can be obtained by pressing the -/-- key, which is the same as the 10 key.
Installation Direct Set-Up Setting Up Your Devices To set up the ONE FOR ALL 3 for your TV or Video Recorder, follow the instructions below. To set up your TV: Find your Television code in the Set-Up Code section (starting on page 11).
The Search Method If your Television or Video Recorder, does not respond to the ONE FOR ALL 3 after you have tried all the codes listed for your brand, try searching for your code. The Search Method may also work if your brand is not listed at all.

Installation After you have used the Search Method, you can find out which code the ONE FOR ALL responded to by blinking back the code. It is handy to know your Television or Video code for future reference. Remember, you can only blink back your code after the ONE FOR ALL is operating your device.
The following pages list the codes for your equipment. The most popular codes for each brand are listed first. If your device does not respond to the ONE FOR ALL 3 after you have tried all the codes for your brand, try the search method (page 8).
Advanced Features Controlling Colour & Brightness Depending on the functions of your original remote control, the ONE FOR ALL 3 may operate the colour and brightness settings of your Television. By pressing MAGIC followed by a Volume or Channel key, you can access these functions.
Advanced Features Teletext and Fastext The ONE FOR ALL 3 is designed to operate the basic functions of teletext (text on, text off, expand and hold). Symbol Title Description TEXT Puts the Television in the teletext mode. Switches the Television back to regular viewing mode.
This feature comes in handy if, for example, you enjoy falling asleep with your television on. With the ONE FOR ALL, there are two ways to use the sleeptimer. If your TV came with this feature built in, follow the instructions “Device Sleeptimer”...
Power, hence turning off your device. Important notes: - The red light on the ONE FOR ALL will blink every 15 seconds indicating that the remote is in Sleeptimer mode. - To deactivate the Sleeptimer, simply press any key on the ONE FOR ALL remote.
Programme Scan Scan Your ONE FOR ALL 3 comes with a special Scan function which lets you “scan” through every programme available on your TV or VCR. For example, to scan the programmes on your TV: Aim the ONE FOR ALL 3 at your TV. Press the TV key.
Advanced Features Using the AUX Key The AUX key on your ONE FOR ALL 3 can be used to control a second Television or Video Recorder. To set up the AUX key to control a second TV: Press and hold down the MAGIC key until the red light blinks twice (the light will blink once, then twice).
Advanced Features Changing the Device Keys If you want, you can change any of the device keys (TV, VCR or AUX) to operate another type of device. The chart below lists how to change the keys and to set up that device: To programme a: Press: TV on the AUX key...
