When products of combustion are sensed, the unit sounds a loud 85db pulsating alarm until the air is cleared. If there is any question as to the cause of the alarm, it should be assumed that the alarm is due to an actual fire and the dwelling should be evacuated immediately.

    (non-recirculating type) will also help remove these combustible products from the kitchen. This model 10Y29 has a HUSH control that is extremely useful in areas prone to nui- sance alarms. For more information refer to Section 4, OPERATION AND TESTING.
