On-Screen Content
In addition to E-E and playback screens, the monitor connected to the DVD recorder's VIDEO LINE OUT terminal can display the
following.
● Status messages
● Event messages
● Alarm messages
● The Setup Menu ( Page 58)
● Recording-operation control screens: REC CONTROL panel ( Page 40)
Status Messages
The DVD recorder's setting condition and operation status are indicated by status messages, and these messages are displayed
on E-E or playback screens.
The DISPLAY MENU screen can be used to indicate whether or not status messages are to be displayed.

Data relevant to recording:
If the SET UP button is pressed
while in Recording mode, the
video encode quality and the
audio encoding format will be
displayed. If the SET UP button is
then pressed once again, this
information is removed from the
screen.
