Viewing Phone Information

To view information about your phone, such as IP address, subnet mask,
version, and MAC address, follow these steps:

This should only be done at the direction of your system administrator.

I do not know the password to access voice mail. A previous user had this phone/extension. I tried the default password, but I get a message that the password is invalid.

To reset the voicemail password for a ShoreTel ShorePhone IP 230, follow these steps:

1. Press the Voicemail button on your telephone.
2. Enter your current password followed by # (default is 1234).
3. Follow the system prompts to create a new voicemail password (4-26 numbers).
4. Confirm your new voicemail password.
5. The system may prompt you to record your name.
6. Follow the prompts to complete the setup.

If you do not remember your current password, contact your system administrator for a reset.
