SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
• Check with your state and local public works
department for plumbing and sanitation codes.
You must follow these guidelines as you install
the Water Filtration System.
• Be sure the water supply conforms with the
Performance Data. If the water supply conditions are
unknown, contact your municipal water company.
• Commonwealth of Massachusetts Plumbing Code
248 CMR shall be adhered to. The use of saddle
valves is not permitted; please consult your local
plumber.

PROPER INSTALLATION
This Water Filtration System must be properly
installed and located in accordance with the
Installation Instructions before it is used.
• Check with your local public works department
for plumbing codes. You must follow their guides
as you install the Water Filtration System.
• Use the Water Filtration System on a potable,
safe-to-drink, home COLD water supply only.
The filter cartridge will not purify water or make
unsafe water safe to drink.
• DO NOT use on HOT water (100°F max).
• Install or store where it will not be exposed to
temperatures below freezing or exposed to any
type of weather. Water freezing in the system
will damage it.
• Your Water Filtration System will withstand up
to 125 psi water pressure. If your house water
supply pressure is higher than 100 psi during the
day (it may reach higher levels at night), install
a pressure reducing valve before the system is
installed.

be used on disinfected water that may contain
filterable cysts.

    INITIAL SET-UP Wash hands. Remove the cap of the filtration system by inserting a small coin or screwdriver on the back of the system and pry to remove cap. Remove the packaging and label at the bottom of the new filter. Then install the new filter. Be sure to support the filter housing in your hand and press the new filter into the housing firmly.

    INSTALLING THE SYSTEM Wash hands. Remove the existing aerator from the sink faucet. Do not discard gasket; it may be necessary to use the existing gasket for the installation of adapters. Identify the type of threads on the faucet: • External threads – No adapters should be required.

    CLEANING THE SYSTEM Use a damp cloth and mild soap for cleaning. Do not use harsh chemicals, detergents, abrasives, solvents or cleaning fluids, since they will damage the filtration system. Enlevez le couvercle du système de filtration en insérant une petite pièce ou un tournevis au dos du système pour le déloger en faisant levier. Retirez l’emballage et l’étiquette sur le dessous du nouveau filtre. Puis installez le nouveau filtre. Assurez-vous de bien tenir le boîtier du filtre dans la main.
