CONTROLS 3.1.2 BOILER FROST PROTECTION If the temperature within the boiler falls below 8°C the pump will run to circulate water and prevent the system freezing. If the temperature within the boiler falls below 5°C the boiler will fire periodically, bringing the boiler temperature up to 12°C to avoid the possibility of the system freezing. -

SERVICE CLEARANCES SERVICE CLEARANCES Your installer will have provided adequate space around the boiler for safety and servicing access. CAUTION: Restricted space. The boiler may overheat. B Do not restrict this space with the addition of cupboards, shelves etc. next to the boiler. -

FAULT FINDING FAULT FINDING If a boiler fault occurs, please read the following page thoroughly before contacting Worcester, Bosch Group. TIPS ON ENERGY SAVING TIPS ON ENERGY SAVING HEATING ECONOMICALLY The boiler provides a high level of comfort whilst keeping gas consumption and the environment effects as low as possible. The gas supply to the burner is controlled according to the level of demand for heat. The boiler operates with a low flame if the demand for heat reduces. - Page 19 TIPS ON ENERGY SAVING DRAUGHTS Try to ensure that draughts around doors, windows, letterboxes and keyholes etc. are reduced by using a suitable draught excluder. WARNING: AIR VENTS B Do not block or seal any air vents that are installed to ensure that the central heating boiler operates safely.

If the top of a radiator is at a lower temperature than the bottom then it should be vented by releasing air through the venting screw at the top of the radiator. I can’t get my green star I to stay operating it keeps turning off
The Worcester Greenstar i System boiler may keep turning off due to several possible reasons:
1. No Power – Check if the boiler has a permanent mains supply. Inspect Fuse F1 (2.5A) or Fuse F3 (0.5A) and the transformer. If faulty, replace the control board.
2. No Live Demand – Ensure there is a live demand at ST10-L from an external room thermostat or timer. Some older thermostats may not return proper voltage.
3. Diverter Valve Issue – If the boiler operates without a live demand signal, check that no permanent live feed is present at ST10-L from another source.
4. Incorrect Piping – Ensure the cold inlet and DHW outlet are correctly piped and not crossed.
5. Flow Turbine Issue – If the boiler is not operating during hot water demand, test the flow turbine.
