Questions and answers
I have a corroded battery in my PDS-ST420-VP scanner it is the last battery in the compartment .
The manual does not provide specific instructions for removing a corroded battery from the VuPoint PDS-ST420-VP scanner. However, in general, to remove a corroded battery safely, follow these steps:
1. Turn Off the Scanner – Ensure the device is powered off.
2. Wear Protective Gloves – Battery corrosion can be harmful; use gloves to avoid skin contact.
3. Open the Battery Compartment – Locate and carefully open the battery cover.
4. Remove the Batteries – If the batteries are stuck due to corrosion, gently shake the device or use a non-metallic tool (like a plastic stick) to loosen them.
5. Clean the Contacts – Use a cotton swab with vinegar or lemon juice to remove corrosion from the battery terminals.
6. Ensure Dryness – Let the compartment dry completely before inserting new batteries.
If the corrosion is severe, consider seeking professional assistance.
