7 Operating the System by Voice
This chapter gives details of the voice recognition capabilities of your Mobile Navigation
System. Read it when you are ready to begin giving voice commands while under guidance.

Terminology
Before moving on, take a few minutes to read the following information about the conventions
used in this manual. Familiarity with these conventions will help you greatly as you learn how
to use your new equipment.
• Buttons on your Navigation commander are referred to as:
(NAVI) button,
• Options in various menus are referred to like this: "DESTINATION HISTORY" and
"SETTINGS".
