Press the ON/STAND-BY button on the remote control to enter the
power stand-by mode.
A timer setting remains once you have created it. Set the unit to the stand-by
mode with the ON/STAND-BY button on the remote control. You can start the
timer at the set time every day.

When the preset time is reached, playback will start.
! The volume is the same as before you enter the timer stand-by
mode.
! During timer play, the timer set indicator flashes.

The unit will enter the stand-by mode one hour after the timer
playback starts.
Notes:
! The timer operates at the same time every day until the setting is cancelled. Can-
cel the timer when it is not in use.
! When you use the timer to play a DVD with a menu screen, playback stops at the
menu screen.
To reset or change the timer setting:
Perform "Timer playback" from the beginning.
To cancel the timer setting:
1 Press the ON/STAND-BY switch on the main unit to turn the power on.
2 Press the TIMER/SLEEP button repeatedly to select the timer start time.
3 Press the button to select "ALM OFF".

Play back the desired sound source.

to select "SLP OFF".

(Maximum: 2 hours - Minimum: 15 minutes)

Press the ENTER button.
The sleep indicator will light up.

Your system will enter the power stand-by mode automatically af-
ter the preset time has elapsed.
To cancel the sleep operation:
Press the ON/STAND-BY button on the remote control whilst the sleep timer is set.
To confirm the remaining sleep time:
Press the TIMER/SLEEP button repeatedly whilst the sleep timer is set.
The remaining sleep time is displayed for about 5 seconds.
" To use timer and sleep operation together
Example: Fall asleep and wake up to the same radio station
You can play back the same source only (the function cannot be switched).

Set the sleep time (steps 1 - 4).

Whilst the sleep timer is set, set the desired playback time (steps
4 - 9, pages 34 - 35).
