! Trace-back recording
When making a microphone or radio broadcasting, etc.
(analogue) recording, you can trace back 5 - 30 seconds
prior and start recording.
When connected digitally, trace-back recording cannot be
operated.

Press the REC button.
Recording is paused.

The unit enters the menu select mode.

Select "TRACE BACK" by

ton and press the MENU
button.

to select the trace back
time.
TIME 5sec Traces back 5 seconds to record.
TIME 10sec Traces back 10 seconds to record.
TIME 30sec Traces back 30 seconds to record.
OFF Cancelled.

The above is displayed alternatively and trace-back re-
cording is set to standby.

recording.
To interrupt recording
Press the

and resumes recording.
To cancel the trace-back recording
The setting for trace-back recording remains even if
you remove the MiniDisc.
To cancel trace-back recording, select "OFF" in step

When the unit is digitally connected, trace-back recording
cannot be set or the setting cannot be cancelled. Remove
the digital cable and retry.
About trace-back recording
Trace-back recording is a function to temporarily store
music of a selected period of time into the memory to per-
form recording. The stored memory is transferred to a Mi-
niDisc when the
Music starts to be stored when a period of time is selected
(in step 5).
Notes:
" When a recording level is set within the selected trace-
back time, recording will be performed at the level you
set.
" Synchronised recording cannot be performed if trace-
back recording is set.
