Check the connections Check to be sure all connections are made positive to positive (+ to +) and negative to negative (- to -) (Figure 4). Make sure that no loose strands of wire touch across terminals. Bridged wires can short circuit and damage the amplifier. Tighten any loose connections before you plug in the receiver and turn it on. -
