6. Error Messages/Troubleshooting

If an error occurs during a measurement, the measurement
is discontinued and a corresponding error code is displayed.
(Example Error no. 1)
Error No.
ER 1
ER 2
ER 3
ER 5
11
Possible cause(s)
The systolic pressure was determined but after-
wards the cuff pressure fell below 20 mmHg.
This situation can occur, for example, if the tube
becomes unplugged after the systolic blood
pressure has been measured. Further possible
cause: No pulse has been detected.
Unnatural pressure impulses influence the
measurement result. Reason: The arm was moved
during the measurement (Artefact).
Inflation of the cuff takes too long. The cuff is
not correctly seated or the hose connection is not
sealed.
The difference between systolic and diastolic is
excesive. Measure again carefully following proper
cuff procedures and ensure measurement under
quiet conditions. Contact your doctor if this
message occurs frequently.
