Replacing the
Maintenance Tank
The maintenance tank absorbs ink discharged when
cleaning the print head. You need to replace the
maintenance tank when the LCD panel instructs to do
so.
Confirming the empty space of
the maintenance tank
Using the printer's control panel
The empty space of the maintenance tank is always
displayed on the LCD panel.

You can check the empty space in the PRINTER
STATUS menu. Prepare the new maintenance tank
when REPLACE MAINTENANCE TANK SOON or NOT
ENOUGH EMPTY SPACE is displayed on the LCD panel.
Replace the maintenance tank with a new one when
MAINTENANCE TANK is displayed on the LCD panel.

Replacing the maintenance tank
Be sure to use a maintenance tank that is supported
with this printer.

Caution:

Do not replace the maintenance tank while
printing data.

Turn off the printer.
B
Take a new maintenance tank out of the package.
C
Put your hand on the handle of the
maintenance tank, then gently pull it straight out.
D
Put the used maintenance tank in the plastic
bag provided with the replacement cartridge,
and dispose of it properly.
