Installation in the the car The Besafe iZi Up X2 can only be used with a 3-point-belt, approved to UN/ECE regulation No. 16 or other equivalent standards. Make sure the belt is not twisted. The lap belt should be worn over the hips. - Page 8 Adjust the iZi Up X2 to the correct height (6 positions), by turning the height adjusting knob (11). Place the belt in the shoulder belt guide (8). Open the shoulder belt guide (8) by sliding the lower part outwards. Place the belt in the shoulder belt guide (8).
- Page 9 Make sure that the belt always runs from the retractor straight over the shoulder. The shoulder belt should level with your child’s shoulders. The lap belt should be positioned over the hips. Lock the belt in the buckle, click. Remove slack by pulling the belt toward the retractor.

Sleeping position The iZi Up X2 can be placed in the sleeping position by moving the sleeping positioning handle (7) upwards. This can be done by the adult or by the child itself. The sleeping positioning handle (7) automatically returns to its neutral position. -

Removing the iZi Up X2 from the car An unoccupied iZi Up X2 should still be fastened with the 3-point-belt. Make sure luggage or other objects are properly secured. Unlock the buckle of the 3-points-belt and open the shoulder belt guide (8). Remove the belt. -

Important advice Make sure the 3-point-belt is tightened fi rmly, in order to prevent any unwanted dislocation of child or iZi Up X2. Check frequently. DO NOT use anything, such as a cushion or coat, to raise the iZi Up X2 off the passenger seat.
