Do not sit in the bow cockpit when the boat is moving fast.
Always use the safety lanyard (quick-stop switch)
Keep an eye out for changing weather conditions, and act
accordingly.
Know and practice the Rules of the Road (Navigational Rules).
Maintain a clear, unobstructed view forward at all times. "Scan" the
water back and forth; avoid "tunnel" vision.
Keep portlights, windows, washboards, doors, hatches or
ventilation openings closed when appropriate, e.g. in rough
weather or at planning speed.
You are the key to safety on board!
9.2. OVERLOADING
Never overload your boat with passengers and cargo beyond its safe
carrying capacity. Too many people and/or gear will cause the boat to
become unstable. Always balance the load so that the boat maintains
proper trim. Here are some things to remember when loading your boat:
Distribute the load evenly fore and aft and from side to side.
Keep the load low.
Keep passengers seated (Do not stand up in a small boat!).
Fasten gear to prevent shifting.
Do not exceed the capacities on manufacturer's plate

Remember that the distribution of load will change your boat's center of
gravity (CG). Following figures show the effect:
CG too much aft
Small inclination towards aft is an indication of good distribution of weight.
9.3. OPENING IN THE HULL
Please check Specific Information Booklet for location of seacocks and
through-hull fittings.
Make sure to have all seacocks closed extended unattended
periods.
Put the drain plug in securely before launching-if equipped.
Keep portlights,windows,washboards,doors,hatches or ventilation
openings closed when appropriate, in rough weather or at the
planing speed.
Check all rubber sealers periodically and change immediatelly if
damaged.
