YOUR 607 IN DETAIL
Automatically adjustable
mirrors for parking
These allow you to see the ground
(kerb, wall...) when carrying out park-
ing manoeuvres in reverse gear.
Tilting the mirror to the parking posi-
tion:
switch on the direction indicator
on the parking side,
engage reverse gear.
The exterior mirror corresponding
to the side on which you are park-
ing tilts downwards.
Returning the mirror to the previous
position:
change out of reverse gear.
Note: to be active, this function must
be initialised by adjusting the mirror,
with reverse gear engaged and the
direction indicator on the side of the
mirror to be adjusted switched on.
Each remote control can memorise a
specific setting.
The driver's mirror is con-
vex in order to eliminate
the 'blind spot' (area at
edge defined by a dotted
line).
As a result, objects observed in
the driver's and passenger's mir-
rors are in reality closer than they
appear.
This must be taken into account
to judge correctly the distance of
vehicles
approaching
behind.

Possible reasons your Peugeot 607 is cranking but not starting include:

1. Fuel Pump Issue: If the fuel pump is receiving only 3-4V instead of the expected voltage, it may not be supplying fuel properly.
2. Starter Motor or Cables: Corroded or faulty connections between the starter, alternator, and battery may cause poor electrical contact.
3. ECU or Immobilizer Problem: If the ECU was recently modified or reset, it may not be communicating correctly, leading to issues like the immobilizer preventing the engine from starting.
4. Battery or Alternator Issue: A weak battery or faulty alternator may not provide enough power for proper ignition.
5. BSI Reset Needed: A malfunctioning Built-in Systems Interface (BSI) might be affecting key electrical functions.

Check the fuel pump voltage, starter connections, battery charge, and ECU status to diagnose the issue.
