Standby Temperature Control
Fixing
temperature
■ Flying Start
Purpose
To reduce time to print the first sheet (FCOT).
Execution condition/timing
• When using the Numeric Keypad on the Control Panel/Touch Panel while the copy screen is displayed
• At power-on of the main power*1
• At completion of jam removal*1
• When opening and closing the Right Door*1*2
*1: This control is performed regardless of the following service mode setting.
• ON/OFF of flying start temperature control (Lv.2):
COPIER > OPTION > IMG-FIX> FLYING
*2: It is not executed while in sleep mode.
Control description
The temperature control target is set, and the Fixing Motor is controlled at half-speed to start operation.
The control continues for 15 seconds at most until the machine receives a command to start printing.
