Editing the Recorded Programs (Using the Direct Navigator)

Title/Chapter
Programs are recorded as a single title consisting of one
chapter.
Start
You can divide a title into multiple chapters. (See
RAM
"Create Chapter" on page 48, "Divide Chapter" on page 53.)
Chapter Chapter
You can change the order of chapters and create a
RAM
play list.
• Titles are divided into about 5-minute chapters after
DVD-R
finalizing. (p. 62)
The maximum number of items on a disc:
• Titles: 99
• Chapters: Approximately 1 000 (Depends on disc contents.)
Notes:
• Once erased or partially erased, it cannot be restored to its original state.
Make certain before proceeding.
• You cannot edit during recording.

Editing titles/chapters and playing
chapters

Press DIRECT NAVIGATOR.
• Press ▲▼◄► to select "VIDEO". If you play still pictures,

press ▲▼◄► to select "PICTURE". (p. 54)

Press ▲▼◄► to select the title.
• You can also select a title by entering a 2-digit number with the
numeric buttons.
e.g., 5: [0] → [5]
15: [1] → [5]
• If you enter a number larger
than the total number of titles,
the last title is selected.
To show other pages
Press ▲▼◄► to select "Previous" or "Next" and press ENTER.
• You can also press SKIP ► ► Ι or SKIP Ι ◄ ◄ to show other
pages.
Multiple editing
Select with ▲▼◄► and press
A check mark appears. Press

Press SUB MENU, then ▲▼ to select the operation
and press ENTER.
• If you select "Edit", press ▲▼ to select the operation and press
ENTER.
