REMOVABLE

The removable element consists
of
a
PowerVac@
clrcdt
breaker whlch lncludes an operatlng mechanlsm, lnter-
locks, prtmary and
secondary dlsconnectlng
devlces.
The
PowerVac@
breakers are equlpped
wlth
wheels
attached to
a
subframe for transportlng along the floor
and for
easy
lnsertlon and removal of the breaker from
the
bottom
cubtcle.
PowerVac@
circuit
breakers of
the
same
rating
are
lnterchangeable
tn thelr
correspondlng
breaker
cubicles.
An lnterference interlock ls
provided
on the rear ofeach
^lrcuit breaker to insure that the properly rated breaker
used
within the
proper metal-clad
unit.

BREAKER RACKING
MECHANISM
When tnstalled
tn
the switchgear cublcle, the
remov-
able element
ls supported by
two
horizontal
steel
tracks,
one
on
each slde of
the cublcle.
The
racktng
mechanlsm
moves
the breaker element along these tracks
between
the
connected
and test posittons. This mechanlsm
con-
slsts of heavy-duty
steel
Jack
screws
whlch
carry nuts
that
engage
the
sldes
of the
removable element.
The
racklng mechanlsm
may be
manually
operated
with
the
optlonal
racktng
handle
equlpment.
The breaker cannot be
moved between
the
connected
and test/dlsconnect posltions unless
tt
has
been
trlpped.
The
breaker cannot
be closed
unless
lt
ts
in
the
connected
or test/dlsconnect
posltlon.

REMOTE RACKING OPERATOR
The electrtcally
operated
racking
device (opttonal) pro-

convenient means
for racklng

quick transfer
between
