    KIWI Plus is an aerosoltherapy device operating with new generation MESH technology. The principle of nebulisation on which it is based, combines, in a single device, the best features of compressor technology (rapid and effective nebulisation of any type of drug) and ultrasonic technology (absolute silence and dual power supply, mains or battery), making it ideal for any type of use on adults and children, both in home-care and in emergency, while travelling or outdoors.
  • Page 24 The medical device requires special precautions regarding electromagnetic compatibility and must be installed and used in accordance with the information provided with the accompanying documents. The KIWI Plus device must be installed and used away from mobile and portable RF communication devices (mobile phones, transceivers, etc.) that may interfere with it.

    PREPARATION AND USE When first used or always after long time of non-use, we recommend disinfection of the nebulisation chamber, the mask and mouthpiece, so to avoid propagation and infection from miscellaneous bacteria. Then follow the instructions in the Cleaning and Disinfection paragraph of this manual and proceed with the operations described below.

    3 – POWER SUPPLY OF THE DEVICE KIWI Plus is equipped with electronic power supply management that allows it to function either connected to the rechargeable batteries inside (Original power supply) or by using USB Cable Adapter.
  • Page 28 The electronic management of the product automatically identifies the available power source. When the device is connected to the mains electricity supply, it uses this source even if internal batteries are charged, to prevent consuming them. 3.1 Operation with power supply It is important for the safety of the device and the user, to only use the original power supply that Manufacturer supply as optional accesssory.

    IMPORTANT: The batteries of this device have been pre-charged by the Manufacturer so that device can be used immediately by user. In case instead that device immediately indicates low battery when first switched on (blue light flashing quickly), it is necessary to proceed as soon as possible with a full charge cycle of internal battery. 3.2.1 How to recharge internal battery A) When the batteries are low (rapid flashing of the BLUE light on the product front side), connect the device to the supplied DC power supply and place the device horizontally on a flat and stable surface, away from heat sources.

    Pressing the button turns on its blue operation backlight and the nebulised medication will start to come out. At the end of the treatment, when there is no more nebulised medication, press the ON/OFF button to turn the device off. IMPORTANT: The device can be used continuously, but it is important to remember that it is equipped with a protective function against accidental start or failed shutdown, that, after 20 continuous minutes of operation (without switch-off), automatically turns the device off.

Seguire quindi le indicazioni relative indicate al paragrafo Pulizia e Disinfezione di questo manuale e procedere poi con le operazioni di seguito descritte.
