A
[5] Drive self-diagnosis
Drive self-diagnosis is performed in the following three steps.
[Push PLAY Button] is displayed at the beginning of each step. Insert the test disc and press the PLAY button.
Step 1. A flashing message [Executing ...] is displayed and the diagnosis starts.
Step 2. When the diagnosis is successfully completed, [Complete] is displayed and the disc is automatically ejected.
Step 3. If the diagnosis is disabled for some reason, the following message is displayed and the disc is automatically ejected.
[Mecha Error]
Mechanism error occurred such as a loading mechanism error.
[Setup Error]
The disc was not started.
[Error Stop]
An error occurred in the middle of the diagnosis and the diagnosis stopped.
[Check Disc]
The disc differs from the disignated disc.
[No Disc]
No disc is inserted.

Result display
The result of the diagnosis of each item is displayed as "OK" or "NG". Undiagnosed item is displayed as "--."

CD ERROR RATE CHECK
The following items are diagnosed.
DVD ERROR RATE CHECK
The following items are diagnosed.
USER CD PHYSICAL CHECK
USER CD SCRATCH CHECK
USER CD QUALITY CHECK
USER CD DIRT CHECK
As for "CD-LD Life Check" and "DVD-LD Life Check",
the working time of the LD is displayed when it exceeded the predetermined
period of time (7000H).
("OK" is displayed when it is not exceeded 7000H, and the working time is
not displayed.)
