The remote control system has safety features built in, which automatically shut down the plant under the
following conditions:
•
Remote control out of range.
•
Transmitter damage.
•
Power loss to the hand-held remote.
Activating any switch turns the remote on, however, if the emergency stop switch is activated, plant shutdown
is immediate.
The active indicator is an LED light that flashes two (2) times per second when the remote is active. When
you use a function switch, the flashing will appear brighter to indicate that the unit is transmitting to the
receiver on the plant.
The hand-held electronic controller has a range of 1,500ft determined by your line of sight. If you cannot see
the plant, chances are that you are out of range.
NOTICE: The plant will shut down automatically if the remote control unit is out of range or it loses power.
The low battery indicator is an LED light that flashes when the batteries in the remote control are depleted.
You should replace the batteries when the indicator illuminates. If the batteries run out while the plant is
running, the plant will shut down without warning.

Transporting Machinery
•
Be sure that the machinery is properly secured so that it cannot vibrate or move during transport.
Remove any dirt, stones or other loose material from the machinery.
•
Install shipping brackets, wood blocking or other shipping materials as directed in the machinery manu-
facturer's manuals. Perform any shipment preparation procedures as indicated in the manuals.
•
Plan your route carefully. Know the clearance height of the machinery. Be aware of bridges, power lines
and steep or uneven grades. Be aware of any other conditions which may present hazards or obstruc-
tions.
•
Be sure that all tractor-trailer components are working and in good condition. Test all systems (brakes,
steering, lights, etc.) for proper operation and/or adjustment before beginning the move. Check air pres-
sure in all tires and replace any tires that are worn or damaged.
•
After the machinery has been transported, block the tires if the trailer will remain stationary for an
extended period of time.
