Cleaning the heads
Almost
of all phenomena
which
are thought of as malfunctions,
such
as
"Reduce sound level'', 'Recording cannot be done properly'', etc. are caused
by dirt on the heads or pressure rollers.
Fine dust or magnetic powder adheres to the head as it is used and although
it seems clean at a glance it is, in fact, dirty.
Be sure to clean tape contact
surfaces such as the head, capstans and pressure rollers after approximately 10
hours of operation.
When Metal Tape is recorded and playback for several hours,
the tape running surface must be cleaned.
Press the Eject button (3 so the cassette holder comes out towards you.
The cassette door can be removed by lifting it while holding both sides of the
cassette door, which is conveniently cleaned with gauze, etc.

DEMAGNETISING

this case, demagnetize the head with a demagnetizer.
