Blade control lever engaged.

Spark plug wire(s) disconnected.

Fuel tank empty, or stale fuel.

Disengage blade control lever

Engage parking brake.

Connect wire(s) to spark plug.

Pull out the CHOKE control

Fill tank with clean, fresh gasoline.

Clean fuel line or replace fuel filter

Clean, adjust gap or replace spark plug.
Engine runs erratic

Unit running with CHOKE applied.

Push CHOKE control in.
2.
Spark plug wire loose.

Connect and tighten spark plug wire.

Blocked fuel line or stale fuel.

Clean fuel line; fill tank with fresh gasoline.

Vent in gas cap plugged.

Clear vent or replace cap if damaged.

Water or dirt in fuel system.

Drain fuel tank. Refill with fresh gasoline.
Engine overheats

Fill crankcase with correct oil.
