When the SCSI bus can be set on the side of the basic processing unit, set the following on the
Built-In AIT.
• Transfer rate
• Data bus width
• DISCONNECT/RECONNECT function
This device has a maximum transfer rate of 160 Mbyte/second. Set the transfer rate to 160
Mbyte/second on Built-In AIT units that support it, and to the next greatest transfer rate under
160 Mbyte/second on those that do not.
When using the Ultra 160 or higher SCSI controller board, set to 160 Mbyte/second.
Also, when the N8141-28AF/-28BF expansion unit is connected, even if the transfer rate of
the Built-In AIT is 160 Mbyte/second, set it to the next greatest transfer rate under
160 Mbyte/second.
For details, see the instruction manual provided with the basic processing unit.
Important
Set the maximum transfer rates as follows according to the number of devices connected to the
bus and the SCSI cable length.
The following are standard values.
