INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

The first time you use the unit, you may notice a little steam and a particular odor: this is common and will disappear the next time you use it.

• Plug in the curling iron and push the ON-OFF button, the indicator light comes on and will start to flash.
• Select the desired temperature using the temperature control. Generally, we recommend the unit be set to a lower temperature for fine, bleached and/or damaged hair, and a higher temperature for curly, thick and/or difficult to style hair. Every hair type is different, so we recommend you use position « I » the first time you crimp. You can increase the setting gradually over the next uses if necessary. Use the table below as a guide:

  Temperature setting	Hair type
  I 160°C	Fine, bleached and/or damaged hair
  II 180°C	Normal, colored and/ or wavy hair
  III 200°C	Thick and/or very curly hair

• Allow the curling iron to heat up for about a minute. The red indicator light will stop flashing when the unit has heated up to the selected temperature, and will stay on.

Some tips before starting:

• For best results, use Easy Waves on straight or straightened hair.
• For a lighter, more natural effect on medium-length or long hair, start the waves at ear level.
• For more volume, start the waves at roots (but avoid placing the tongs too close to your scalp).

Note! Every time you press the appliance on your hair, you may hear some sizzling and notice some smoke. Do not be concerned, this could be because of evaporation of the sebum, some residual hair products (leave-in hair care, hairspray, etc.) or excess water that is evaporating from your hair.

• Use Easy Waves on dry hair.
• Untangle your hair.
• Take up a section of hair and place it between the plates.
• Close the tongs over the section and press lightly for a few seconds depending on your hair type.
• Release and repeat over the rest of your hair, closing the iron on the last wave created for a more harmonious result and to avoid creases.
• Always work from the roots to the tips.
• We recommend using the tongs by placing the section with the 2 heated barrels facing out. In this way, it will be easier to see exactly where you will have to press the tongs on the section of hair.
• Allow your hair to cool before handling.
• Scrunch the waves with your fingers and set using a light misting of hairspray or a small amount of mousse, but do not brush your hair.
• After use, press the ON-OFF button and unplug the tongs. Allow to cool before storing away.

MAINTENANCE

Once unplugged and cooled, the tongs may be wiped with a damp cloth. Make sure that it is completely dry before plugging it in again.
