MAINTENANCE
CHECK AND TIGHTEN TRACK SHOE BOLTS
If the machine is used with track shoe bolts (1) loose, they will
break, so tighten any loose bolts immediately.
Method for tightening
1.
First tighten to a tightening torque of 196 ± 19.6 N•m (20 ± 2 kgf•m, 144.7 ± 14.5 lbft) then check that the nut
and shoe are in close contact with the link contact surface.
2.
After checking, tighten the angle of the shoe bolts a further 90º ± 10º for steel shoes (120º ± 10º for swamp
shoes) and 60º ± 10º for road liners.
Order for tightening
Tighten the bolts in the order shown in the diagram on the right.
After tightening, check that the nut and shoe are in close con-
tact with the link mating surface.
