4. MAINTAIN CONTROL

1. Establish a rhythmic cutting procedure.
a. Plant feet firmly, comfortably apart.
b. Cut while swingingtheupperpart ofyourbody
from right to left.
c. Move forward to the next area to be cut after
the return swing and plant feet once more.
2. Use the 8 o'clock to 10 o'clock position for
cutting.
3. Stop the engine and_blade, then unclip the
snotuaer strap from the tool before clearing
cut material.
4. To reduce the chance of material wrapping
around the blade, follow these steps:
a. Cut at full throttle.
b. Swing the toolintomaterialto be cut from
your rightto left.
c. Avoid the material justcutasyou make there-
