    Package Contents Fortinet’s FortiAP wireless thin access points deliver secure, identity-driven WiFi client access that creates a fortifi ed WLAN network that is centrally managed by a FortiGate or FortiWiFi platform.     Mounting Your FortiAP Unit Using the provided hardware, the FortiAP unit can be attached to a ceiling or wall. To attach the unit to a ceiling or wall using the mounting bracket: Attach the mounting bracket to the wall or ceiling using the mounting template and the provided wall/ceiling mounting hardware kit.
  • Page 6 To attach the unit to a ceiling using the provided T-rail connectors: Attach the T-rail connectors to the bottom cover of the FortiAP unit using the provided short screws. Two sizes of T-rail connectors are included in the mounting hardware kit: 15/16in (2.38cm) and 9/16in (1.43cm).

    Connecting Your FortiAP Unit The FortiAP unit can be powered using Power over Ethernet (PoE) or with the optional AC power adapter. Please order either the Fortinet Gigabit PoE Injector (SKU: GPI-115) or the 12V AC power adapter (SKU: SP-FAP221B-PA) Caution: This device complies with IEEE 802.3af PoE specifi cation.

    In the AP Profi le fi eld, select a profi le from the list and click OK. The confi guration is downloaded from the wireless controller to the FortiAP and the WiFi LED lights up.     Software solely for your internal business purposes, in accordance with the terms set forth in this Agreement and subject to any further restrictions in Fortinet documenta- tion, and solely on the Fortinet appliance, or, in the case of blades, CPUs or databases, on the single blade, CPU or database on which Fortinet installed the Software or, for stand-alone Software, solely on a single computer running a validly licensed copy of the operating system for which the Software was designed, or, in the case of blades, CPUs or databases, on a single blade, CPU or database.
  • Page 16 Hardware shall be for the greater of the remaining Hardware Warranty Period or ninety days from the delivery of the repaired or replacement Hardware. If Fortinet determines in its reasonable discretion that a material defect is incapable of correction or that it is not practical to repair or replace defective Hardware, the price paid by the original purchaser for the defective Hardware will be refunded by Fortinet upon return to Fortinet of the defective Hardware.
