b) Increase the distance between the motor and the
bearing to increase the V-belt tension. Decrease
the distance to loosen the V-belt.
c) Tighten the 4 nuts.
6. Install the V-belt cover.
To replace the V-belt
WARNING:
cover when the product is disconnected from
the mains outlet and the motor has fully
stopped.
WARNING:
without the V-belt cover installed.
1. Stop the product. Refer to
page 12 .
2. Remove the V-belt cover. Refer to
the V-belt tension on page 18 .
3. Decrease the distance between the motor and the
bearing to release the tension of the V-belt.
4. Remove the V-belt and install the new V-belt.
5. Increase the distance between the motor and the
bearing to apply tension to the V-belt. Refer to
a check of the V-belt tension on page 18 .
6. Install the V-belt cover.

There are 9 primary filters in the DC 975 and 6 primary
filters in the DC 655. Replace all filters at the same time.
1. Stop the product. Refer to
page 12 .
2. Remove the 6 nuts and the cover of the filter
housing.
3. Remove the 3 nuts.
