11. Caution

11.1 Operation of power switch (on the front panel of machine)
① When the power switch trips out, it must not be turned on again. Contact manufacturer's agent. If the power
switch is turned on again without removing the cause, it may result in burn-out of the machine.
② After finishing work, wait for two or three minutes before turning off the power switch.
③ The power switch must be turned off when checking or replacing the torch component because erroneous
pressing of the torch switch may result in electric shock.
11.2 Connection of torch, holder and cable to output terminals
Connect only one torch, holder or cable to each output terminal. If two or three cables are connected to a
single terminal, this may cause a short circuit accident or ineffective arc start because of high frequency wave
leakage.
11.3 Radio interference
Welding sometimes causes radio interference. If interference is generated in a radio or other equipment,
consult manufacturer's agent to purchase accessory noise filter.
11.4 Warning lamp
Refer to the Troubleshooting Guide if the warning lamp lights.
11.5 Output current when using single phase input
Use 180A at the maximum. Duty cycle should be 40%.
11.6 Flow switch
①Water pressure
To protect the water cooled torch from burning, the machine is provided with a flow switch, which activates the
water warning lamp and terminals work where water flow rate is too low. If this happens, increase water flow
rate or install the water tank (YX-0092UW) to ensure necessary flow.
* When the water tank is used, change cooling water once or twice every six months. Accumulated fur may
stop rotation of pump motor or cause obstruction to water passages of the torch and the flow switch.
②Use of an antifreeze solution
Use glycol type for antifreeze solution. However, if mixing ration of antifreeze solution is increased, viscosity of
cooling water increases causing reduction in flow and the flow switch may be activated to stop welding
operation. The ratio of antifreeze solution should be less than 20%.
③ Maintenance of flow switch
If the flow switch is used for a long period, its axis and float will develop fur or rust. As a result, the float may not
function properly. Clean the flow switch periodically. 1) Remove right side panel.
1) Remove right side panel.
2) Remove water inlet fixture nut.
3) Remove cap on the flow switch upper section from
the main body.
4) Clean fur and rust accumulated in the flow switch
and around axis and float.
5) Replace the cap to the main body, (Tighten it by
