    Place paper under nozzle anytime lower plate is removed to protect floor. Place handle in upright position and turn vacuum over to expose lower plate. Release lower plate by removing two (2) screws. Remove lower plate and remove any residue that may exist in belt area.

    If end caps fall off, do not lose the two (2) washers. Clean agitator and reinstall the two (2) washers and end caps. Loop new belt (Panasonic Type UB8 only) around motor shaft and belt pulley; see illustration for correct belt routing.
