For installation of the CAN driver VCI under Windows, please refer to the VCI installation manual. 2.2 Hardware installation The USB-to-CAN II can be plugged in and unplugged during operation of the PC (hot-plug compatible). It is recommended to install the VCI software before plug- ging in for the first time.
3.1.3 CAN bus connector for CAN 2 The USB-to-CAN II has a bus interface according to ISO 11898-2, optionally with LIN interface (only variant automotive). The signals of the bus interface are connected to the 8-pin RJ45 connector (see table 3-2).
