Windows, please refer to the VCI installation manual. Hardware installation The USB-to-CAN compact can be plugged in and unplugged during operation of the PC (Hot-plug compatible). It is recommended to install the VCI software be- fore plugging in for the first time. -

3.1.2 CAN bus connector 3.1.2.1 USB-to-CAN compact The USB-to-CAN compact has a bus interface according to ISO 11898-2. The sig- nals of the bus interface are connected to the 9-pin Sub-D connector (see table 3- 1). The bus interface can be galvanically isolated from the CAN bus as an option. -

Connections and displays 3.1.2.2 USB-to-CAN compact RJ45 The USB-to-CAN compact RJ45 has a bus interface according to ISO 11898-2.
