Power Connections

cable.
● A shielded power cord or cable must be used for the input power wiring when conduit is not
used.
Power cables for all CE configurations (Zone 1 & Zone 2) connect at the X100 terminal block
as shown below. The standard configuration (no APU) is for this terminal block to be installed
by itself. If an APU is installed then there will be a power relay box installed in front of the X100
terminal block.

For Installation of AC Power for CE / ATEX units, refer to the Application Drawing Package. This
section documents the requirements only for non-CE/ATEX units. See the Specifications
section at the beginning of this manual for power specifications of the Maxum II analyzer.
Do not apply power at this point
Do not apply power to the unit until procedurally instructed to do so in the section Enable
Power to the Maxum II (Page 40). Installation personnel shall adhere to all AC power (Mains)
specification requirements defined in the Application Drawing Package & Utility Diagram
sheet. Failure to do so, and operating the equipment in a manner not specified, can impair the
safety protection provided by the equipment and result in severe injury or death.
