Definition or Usage
Mechanism that extends from the z-post of a robot
assembly and contains a set of grippers at the end of
the arm.
The robot arm contains a tube or rack release button
that allows the operator to open the grippers
manually, when necessary.
The upper part of the robot assembly that connects
data and power cables to the motors, and connects an
air line to the grippers.
A z-post attached to the robot head supports the robot
arm.
Four-pronged mechanism that holds bucket
compartments while they spin during the centrifuging
operation.
Software that routes sample tubes to the appropriate
stations by controlling the divert gates and interface
gates.
The Router software communicates with the ADVIA
CentraLink system and determines, based on system
configuration inputs, the sequence of stations for
delivery of the sample tube. The Router also balances
the workload between stations that have the same
instruments or modules.
Test tube filled with a substance requiring testing or
processing.
Samples may include serum, whole blood, plasma,
cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), urine, and QC materials.
