Unexpected behaviour

Problem
The oven compartment
does not heat up.
After moving house, the
combination steam
oven no longer
switches from the heat-
ing-up phase to the
cooking phase.
During operation, an
unusually high amount
of steam leaks out or
steam leaks out from
different places to
usual.
During cleaning with
HydroClean
, water has
accumulated in the drip
channel up to the level
of the plateaus.
Cause and remedy
Demo mode is activated.
The combination steam oven can be operated, how-
ever the heating elements will not work.
 Deactivate demo mode (see "Settings" – "Show-
room programme").
The oven compartment has been warmed up by the
warming drawer in operation underneath it.
 Open the door and let the oven compartment cool
down.
The boiling temperature of the water has changed as
the altitude of the new location for the appliance dif-
fers from the old one by at least 300 m.
 To adjust the boiling temperature, you need to de-
scale the appliance (see "Cleaning and care" –
"Care").
The door is not closed properly.
 Close the door.
The door seal is not correctly installed.
 Press the door seal in all the way round the door to
make sure it is installed snugly and evenly.
The door seal is damaged, e.g. cracked.
 Call the Miele Customer Service Department to re-
place the door seal.
 Do not cook with steam or clean using
until you replace the seal.
The combination steam oven is leaking.
 Remove the water and, if necessary, continue the
cleaning process until the end.
 Contact the Miele Customer Service Department.
