Fn+Delete
If the Fn key combinations do not work correctly on some ThinkPad computers with the Windows XP
operating system, ensure that the computer has the latest version of the Lenovo System Interface driver
installed.

Notes:
• Ensure that the Fn key combinations are functional on the keyboard of your ThinkPad computer. There are
software dependencies to get the most complete Fn key combination support for your ThinkPad computer.
Function
Decrease the brightness.
Note: This function key might not work on the Windows XP and Windows Vista
operating systems.
Increase the brightness.
Note: This function key might not work on the Windows XP and Windows Vista
operating systems.
Switch between the computer display and an external monitor (Windows will
show these display options).
Note: This function key might not work on the Windows XP and Windows Vista
operating systems.
Enable or disable the built-in wireless networking features. A window will be
displayed warning that turning off the wireless will disconnect the wireless mice
and keyboards.
Note: This function key might not work on the Windows XP and Windows Vista
operating systems.
• Open Control Panel.
• Open Settings Panel (for the Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 operating systems).
• Open the Settings window (for the Windows 10 operating system).
• Navigate to search depending on your active applications.
• Open Search Panel (for the Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 operating systems).
• Open the Cortana search box (for the Windows 10 operating system).
• View open applications.
• Switch between open applications (for the Windows XP operating system).
• Open My Computer.
• View all applications (for the Windows 8, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10
operating systems).
Unpair the Bluetooth keyboard from the computer.
Note: If you have configured the Bluetooth keyboard in one computer and
want to configure it in another computer, it is recommended that you unpair the
Bluetooth keyboard from the previous computer first.
