SET UP AND CONNECTION OPTIONS
What is required?
1) A Vacuum System that
provides 200 cubic feet/
minute or 330 cubic metres/
hour of air flow at the
connection point of the saw (a
3 motor electric wet vacuum is
the minimum requirement)
i) If using the Guarda Vacuum
Generator then a slurry
interceptor is required to
catch the slurry.
ii) If using a 3 motor wet
vacuum and the required
hose is greater than 15
meters (50 feet) to enable
vacuum to be placed
outside (to emit fumes),
then you need to set up
with the slurry interceptor.
If the required hose is
less than 15 metres (50 ft)
to enable vacuum to be
placed outside, the slurry
interceptor is not required
(slurry can be captured in
the vacuum barrel)
iii) If using a 3 motor wet
vacuum, a high amperage
power supply may be
required. Please check the
local voltage and select the
correct electric vacuum to
match
2) A slurry interceptor.
To contain slurry (when
Edge Powercutter used
with Vacuum Generator or
with a 3 motor electric wet
vacuum using more than
15 metres of hose)
3) A pressured water supply.

Connection Procedures to Guarda Vacuum
Generator
1) Connect vacuum hose to
Vacuum Generator using
50 mm camlock (maximum
hose length of 20 m with
50 mm hose)
2) Connect vacuum hose
from Vacuum Generator to
Slurry Interceptor using 50
mm camlock
3) Connect 38 mm slurry
hose to Slurry Interceptor
vacuum inlet (hose length
not to exceed 7.5 m (20 ft)
between Slurry Interceptor
& Edge Powercutter
4) Connect 38mm slurry hose
to Edge Powercutter
5) Connect water hose to
Edge Powercutter
6) Connect water hose to
pressured water supply
