The Odyssey™ Removable Hard Disk Storage System is
designed to help small offices and home offices meet the
escalating challenges of data protection by providing fast backup, accurate
restores and full disaster recovery with minimal effort. The system is ideal for a
wide range of data storage environments, including high-security storage applica-
tions, replacing tape for entry-level backup, or anywhere large volumes of data
need to be stored quickly and securely and accessed rapidly.
The Imation Odyssey system is available with either an internal or external docking
station so no matter what your application, there is an Odyssey system available to
meet your needs. The internal USB docking station will fit into a floppy disk bay
allowing users to free other bays for optical drives or additional hard drives.
The docking station is at the heart of the Odyssey system, and for a very forward-
thinking reason. It's designed to work with the higher-capacity hard disk cartridges
of the future, products that haven't even been developed yet. Unlike tape drives
which lack future format capabilities, you will be able to use the Odyssey internal
docking station as next-generation cartridges enter the market, lowering your cost
of ownership.
