Introduction

Congratulations on your purchase of the Reichert 7 Auto Tonometer.
The Reichert 7 is an auto-aligning, non-contact tonometer used to measure the
intraocular pressure of the eye by delivering a very soft air puff or puffs to the eye.
This User's Guide is designed as a training and reference manual. We recommend you
carefully read and follow the steps in this guide to ensure optimum performance from
your new instrument.

Indications for use

A tonometer is indicated for measuring intraocular pressure to aid in the screening
and diagnosis of glaucoma

Contraindications

Use of the Reichert 7 is contraindicated in instances of:
• Edematous/ulcerated cornea
• Following keratoplasty
• Following penetrating trauma
