  • Page 3 Intended Use The Roma Medical 1823 folding ambulance chair was designed to provide a lightweight means of emergency mobility for users up to 120kgs (19st). It is designed to be folded neatly away ready for use. The main use of the chair is to provide a temporary means of transporting a patient.

  • Page 5 Safety Advice SAFETY PRECAUTIONS • Do not exceed the weight capacity • Do not lean on the wheelchair or use it as a walking aid, this could result in a loss of balance. • Do not lean / reach forward unless you have ensured the castors are in a forward position.

These are the upper backrest handle and the two front frame loops. A minimum of two persons are required to undertake this task. More attendants may be required depending on the weight of the patient and the abilities of the attendants.
