Modular Smart Array Enclosures
the HP StorageWorks Modular Smart array (MSa) enclosures are available in 1U and 2U rack-mount form factors
with support for large form factor (LFF) and small form factor (SFF) SaS and Sata hard disk drives. the enclosures
provide direct attached storage (DaS) for HP ProLiant and Integrity Servers.
Connection to servers is usually performed using HP Smart array Controllers (although SCSI and SaS controllers without hardware raID may
also be used). Supported configurations are listed in the appropriate QuickSpecs for the MSa enclosures at www.hp.com/go/productbulletin.
