Integrating into existing backup applications and processes, the highly scalable HP StorageWorks 9000 Virtual Library

System (VLS9000) accelerates backup performance in complex SaN environments while improving overall reliability.

By emulating popular tape libraries and tape drives, the VLS9000 matches the existing data protection environment, removing the need to

change backup software or monitoring policies. allowing more backup jobs to be run in parallel results in reduced backup times and because

the data resides on disk, single file restores are exceptionally fast. as storage requirements grow, the VLS9000 matches the environment by

scaling both capacity and performance. although the VLS9000 is a multi-node product, it is managed as a single virtual library device.
