2.1 Product overview
C6017-0010 | Ultra compact Industrial PC
With the ultra-compact C6017 Industrial PC, Beckhoff is extending its existing range of ultra-compact
products by a device with further optional interfaces (up to 2 x RJ45, 2 x USB 2.0), an optional 1-second
UPS or a combination of additional interfaces and 1-second UPS. Although the variety of interfaces has
been expanded, only the height of the C6017 has increased in comparison with the predecessor device
C6015; with dimensions of only 82 x 82 x 66 mm the C6017 is extremely space-saving, too.
Besides an excellent price-performance ratio, the IPC offers all common industry standard features such
as an extended temperature range, EtherCAT compatibility and high shock and vibration resistance.
Equipped with an integrated Intel Atom
reserves. Only processors from the Embedded line with long-term availability are used in the C6017
series, too, ensuring investment security for the user. Both the new module motherboard and the
aluminium and zinc die-cast housing have been newly developed to ensure the high quality Beckhoff is
well-known for, such as industrial compatibility, Made in Germany products and reliability.
With universal multi-core support, the C6017 can be used simultaneously for high-performance
automation, visualization and communication applications. Flexible installation options of the PC with
virtually free orientation of the connection level allow for various installation scenarios, even in the
smallest of spaces. Despite passive cooling, the C6017 is suitable for a temperature range of up to 55 °C
(C6017-0010) or 50 °C (C6017-0020). With a 30 GB 3D MLC M.2 SSD and a Windows Embedded
Compact 7 operating system, it is fully operational in the basic configuration. Windows 7 or Windows 10
operating systems are optionally available.
TwinCAT 3, the latest version of the Beckhoff automation software, especially developed for optimal
support of multi-core processors, can fully utilize the dual-core and quad-core processors of the new
device generation in the same way as TwinCAT 2 with its single-core support.
