Solving General Problems

Problem
All the lights on the
receiver stay on
when the receiver is
turned on.
The Telemetry
Indicator Lamp on
the fetal monitor
does not light when
the monitor and the
receiver are switched
on.
Receiver Power On
Light does not light
when the receiver is
switched on.
Chapter 10 - Troubleshooting
Refer to Chapter 4 for common problems related to the different
methods of measuring parameters.
More detailed tests are given in the Service Manual (M1310-9000B).
Possible Causes
Fetal monitor is switched off.
Possible defect in the receiver,
interface cable or fetal monitor.
Incorrect interface connection
between the monitor and the
receiver.
Faulty interface cable.
Power cable not plugged into the
power supply.
Fuses need replacing.
Line voltage incorrect.

Troubleshooting

Solutions
Switch on fetal monitor.
Carry out the tests described in
Chapter 9, "Testing the Receiver" on
page 54.
Follow the instructions in Chapter 3 for
details on how to connect the monitor to
the receiver.
Replace interface cable.
Contact your Philips Medical Response
Center.
Plug in and switch on.
Replace fuses.
Contact your Philips Medical Response
Center.
