(1) Light up the laser marker and make a groove of about 5
mm deep on the workpiece that is about 38 mm in height
and 89 mm in width. Hold the grooved workpiece by vise
as it is and do not move it.
(2) Then insert a 4 m m hex. bar w rench in the 12 diam eter
hole on the side of the gear case, turn the hex. socket
set screw to m ove the laser line. (If you turn the Hex.
socket screw clockw ise, the laser line w ill shift to the
right and if you turn it counterclockw ise, the laser line
w ill shift to the left.) When you w ork w ith the ink line
aligned w ith the left side of the saw blade, align the
laser line with the left end of the groove (Fig. 10). When
you align it w ith the right side of the saw blade, align
the laser line w ith the right side of the groove.

(3) After adjusting the position of the laser line, draw a
right-angle ink line on the w orkpiece and align the
ink line w ith the laser line. When aligning the ink line,
slide the w orkpiece little by little and secure it by vise
at a position w here the laser line overlaps w ith the
ink line. Work on the grooving again and check the
position of the laser line. If you w ish to change the

CAUTION
Laser radiation - Do not stare into beam .
Laser radiation on w ork table. Do not stare into beam .
If your eye is exposed directly to the laser beam , it
can be hurt.
Do not dism antle it.
Do not give strong im pact to the laser m arker (m ain
body of tool); otherw ise, the position of a laser line
can go out of order, resulting in the dam age of the
laser m arker as w ell as a shortened service life.
Keep the laser m arker lit only during a cutting
operation. Prolonged lighting of the laser m arker can
result in a shortened service life.
Use of controls or adjustm ents or perform ance of
procedures other than those specified herein m ay
result in hazardous radiation exposure.
NOTE
Perform cutting by overlapping the ink line w ith the
laser line.
When the ink line and the laser line are overlapped,
the strength and w eakness of light w ill change,
resulting in a stable cutting operation because you
can easily discern the conformity of lines. This ensures
the m inim um cutting errors.
In outdoor or near-the-w indow operations, it m ay
