4. oPeratioN
4.1.
oil extractioN
4.1.1.
Ensure the vehicle is on level ground and run the engine for approximately 5 minutes to warm the oil and allow any contaminants
within the oil to thoroughly mix and turn the engine off.
4.1.2.
remove the vehicle's oil dipstick.
4.1.3.
Insert the probe into the dipstick hole until it reaches the bottom of the sump. fig.2.
4.1.4.
Connect the extension tube to both the pump inlet and probe.
4.1.5.
Raise the handle to its highest limit and pump it fully several times to create a vacuum which will automatically begin to extract the
oil/fluid. Observe the oil/fluid as it rises up the chamber and stop pumping when the fluid is 6"(150mmm) from the top.
4.1.6.
Remove the main suction tube from the pump, pour the oil/fluid into a suitable container and dispose of it in accordance with local
authority regulations.
4.1.7.
The air vent tube should be vented to air.
4.2.
fuel eXtrAction
4.2.1.
Can be used to suck fuel out of fuel tank or low pressure fuel circuit in conjunction with fuel priming kits Model no's VS552, VS553,
VS554 and VS555. fig.3. The air vent tube should be vented to the fuel tank or to outside.
4.3.
otHer fluidS
4.3.1.
Select and insert the appropriate diameter probe into the fluid to be drained.
4.3.2.
Connect the extension tube to both the pump inlet and the probe.
4.3.3.
Use as above

5.1.
Ensure unit is empty and cleaned by passing a mild detergent and water through it after every use and allowing to dry before
storage. dispose of detergent in accordance with local authority regulations.

Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. All tools, accessories and packaging should be
sorted, taken to a recycling centre and disposed of in a manner which is compatible with the environment.
When the product becomes completely unserviceable and requires disposal, drain off any fluids (if applicable)
into approved containers and dispose of the product and the fluids according to local regulations.
