The behaviour of the alarm call and snooze function depends on the switching state of the
device. Four possible switching states are listed in the following.
Case A
Behaviour and functions:
When the alarm time is reached, the radio is interrupted and the signal tone is output (alarm mode).
– The volume of the signal tone changes according to the ramp function.
– The volume increases from 20% to 100% of the maximum volume.
– The signal tone lasts for 20 seconds at 20%. Then it increases every second for approximately
25 seconds until the maximum volume is reached.
Display output in alarm mode:
– "Alarm"
The alarm mode ends automatically after 1 minute.
The signal tone can be stopped with any button (snooze function).
– This switches the device back into the play mode and the radio plays again.
– After 5 minutes the device switches automatically back into the alarm mode.
– This process is repeated 3 times.
– There are three ways to stop the repeats early (to deactivate the alarm function):
– Press the "OFF" button long (approx. 2 seconds) during the signal tone.
– Press the "OFF" button during the time between the two signal tones. This also switches the
radio off, since it is in playing mode between the signal tones.
– Deactivate the alarm clock in the configuration menu of the device, see chapter 9.3.4 "Menu
"Alarm clock" - "Alarm clock"" on page 54. The alarm call function is then fully deactivated. If
the alarm clock is to operate again the next day, it must be switched on again.
